Playhouse Nursery is committed to preventing accidents, injuries, and health hazards through proactive risk assessments, rigorous facility inspections, and full compliance with UAE health and safety standards. This policy applies across all indoor classrooms, sensory spaces, cafeterias, washrooms, corridors, and outdoor playgrounds.
2. Environmental Safety & Hygiene
• Child-proofed facilities with rounded edge guards, safety gates on stairwells, and finger-safety door pinch guards.
• Temperature-controlled classrooms with indoor air monitoring and optimal lighting.
• Non-toxic, child-safe toys and pedagogical materials conforming to international safety standards.
• Continuous daily cleaning and sanitization schedules carried out by trained support staff.
3. First Aid & Medical Preparedness
• Fully equipped first-aid clinics staffed by licensed nursery nurses.
• All teachers and assistants undergo regular certified pediatric first aid and CPR training.
• Emergency contact numbers, hospital transfer protocols, and emergency medical kits are maintained and audited monthly.
4. Fire Safety & Evacuations
Playhouse Nursery conducts quarterly fire evacuation drills with all staff and children. Fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, emergency exit routes, and fire extinguishers are professionally inspected and certified in accordance with UAE Civil Defense regulations.
